Life Science Research by using IBARAKI Biological Crystal Diffractometer

Single crystal neutron diffraction is one of the powerful methods to obtain structure information, including that hydrogen atoms. The IBARAKI biological diffractometer called iBIX a high-performance time-of-flight single elucidate hydrogen, protonation and hydration structures macromolecules in various life processes. Most notably merit observation atoms states. From remarkable results by iBIX, actual application for protein science are as follows: (a) Finding tautomerization, (b) Observation bonds, (c) Determination orientations side chains water solvents, (d) around metal atom. Current status interesting with obtained reported.
